The water does not hold the comfort it once did

The only thing darkness hold for me is an invitation to death
Nothing is special nor the same without you here by my side
You had my heart and soul and simply discarded it as if I were nothing to you
Leaving a lifeless shell behind

They stab at my heart with a horrid pain
And tear at my mind, making me insane
I try hard not to remember
